For early detection and treatment, if you have any concerns about your teeth, please contact us as soon as possible.

About Periodontal Disease
Do you have any of these symptoms?
-
Wobbly teeth
-
Bleeding or swollen gums
-
Sticky feeling in your mouth
-
Concerned about bad breath
-
Gaps have appeared between teeth
-
Food debris easily accumulates

Periodontal disease is caused by periodontal pathogens that live in the mouth. If left untreated, the sticky residue (plaque) on the teeth begins to calcify and form tartar. This tartar is the nest of bacteria that causes periodontal disease, and these bacteria cause inflammation of the gums around the teeth, and the bones that support the teeth dissolve.
In the early stages of the disease, the gums bleed, but as the disease progresses, pus appears, bad breath occurs, and the bone that supports the teeth begins to dissolve. If left untreated and the progression of the disease is overlooked, it can lead to the loss of important teeth.
Periodontal disease can also lead to arteriosclerosis, myocardial infarction, diabetes, and other systemic effects of gum inflammation. If you feel any discomfort in your mouth, please contact us so that we can provide prompt treatment.
Periodontal Disease Treatment
We will examine the patient's mouth and test for bacteria if necessary. The dentist or dental hygienist will clean the teeth using specialized instruments to remove plaque and tartar. After diagnosis, the dentist will teach the patient of the correct way to brush the teeth.
When the inflammation of the gums subsides, the number of periodontal pathogens decreases. After that, we will make recommendations for maintenance. (Periodontal pathogens will not be eliminated, but their numbers will not increase.)

Measures to prevent Periodontal Disease
Once you have periodontal disease, it is impossible to get back to normal. However, the progression of the disease can be reduced not only by daily tooth brushing but also by preventing the formation of plaque and tartar. It is effective to regularly remove plaque and tartar before it causes negative effects. At our clinic, we will perform an examination and remove plaque and tartar. Oral health is also your physical health, so we recommend regular checkups to prevent periodontal disease and lead a healthy life. In addition, even if you clean the surface of your teeth, stains will re-adhere, so we recommend cleaning your teeth once every 3 months to reduce the risk of periodontal disease.
